Microsoft has officially announced the purchase of Nuance, a company that develops artificial intelligence and voice recognition technologies. As part of the deal, Microsoft agreed to pay $ 56 per share, 23% more than Nuance was quoted on Friday. The total deal, including Nuance's debt, was $ 19.7 billion.

 

Microsoft shares on messages about the deal on Monday, as of 17.33 Moscow time, fell by 0.1% - to $ 255.6 per share. Nuance shares rose 16.4% to $ 53.07.

 

The Nuance acquisition will mark Microsoft's second-largest acquisition after a $ 27 billion deal with LinkedIn in 2016.
