Minister of Innovative Development met with students and postgraduates of Uzbekistan in Turkey

Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov met with students and doctoral students from Uzbekistan studying at the universities of Istanbul and engaged in scientific work.

The meeting discussed the problems faced by students, and ways to solve them, existing and created conditions in Uzbekistan, reforms in the field of science and innovation.

Currently, more than 2,000 students from Uzbekistan study in Turkey, most of whom study in Istanbul.

During the conversation, Uzbek students and doctoral students put forward a number of proposals and initiatives:

• Sending Uzbeks to doctoral studies at Istanbul Commercial University;

• Import for research of copies of manuscripts of Uzbekistan abroad (500 thousand);

• Sending the winners of events such as "Technoways" to Turkey;

• Formation of a list of references for higher educational institutions and the creation of a group of translators for translation into Uzbek;

• Development of military technologies based on the experience of Turkey;

• Creation of online universities in Uzbekistan;

• Creating conditions for attracting representatives of small business in Turkey to our country.

Minister of Innovative Development I. Abdurakhmanov supported all the proposals and said that for their implementation the ministry will allocate the necessary resources within the framework of existing capabilities. At the same time, agreeing on the feasibility of implementing the above initiatives with the participation of students, it was decided to develop a “voluntary work plan” for Uzbek students and doctoral students studying at Turkish universities, together with the Ministry of Innovative Development.

The Minister noted that young people who have made creative proposals and have shown activity in the implementation of initiatives will be awarded the badge “leader of an innovative idea”.
