Mirziyoyev and Macron got acquainted with the exhibition of the richest material culture of Uzbekistan

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron together with their spouses visited the Institute of the Arab World in Paris. This is the end of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to France.
Currently, the Institute and the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan jointly organized an exhibition entitled "The Road to Samarkand. Wonders of silk and gold", which presents the richest material culture of Uzbekistan at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries.
For the first time in France, from November 23 of this year to June 4, 2023, more than 300 exhibits from 9 largest museums of Uzbekistan will be presented to the general international public.
The exhibition includes collections of textiles, clothing and footwear, hats, jewelry, as well as 24 paintings of the Turkestan and Russian avant-garde from the museums of Nukus, Samarkand, Bukhara and Tashkent. As part of the preparation, 89 jewelry pieces were restored.
A tour of the exhibition was held for the Presidents, detailed information about the exhibits was provided.
The French side expressed admiration for the colorfulness and elegance of the products, which testify to the creative genius and skill of our ancestors-artisans.
This is the end of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to France. President Emmanuel Macron and his wife warmly welcomed the head of our state and his wife.
