More than 100 million euros for the implementation of two projects

The French Development Agency will allocate 105 million euros to Uzbekistan for the construction and reconstruction of sewerage systems in the cities of Karmana, Kitab and Shakhrisabz and 7.6 million euros for the development of animal husbandry.

The aim of the first project is to create a centralized wastewater treatment system in three cities along with the installation of connections and collectors. The project consists in the construction of treatment facilities and a system for discharging treated wastewater, which will later be used for irrigation.

The second project will aim to finance the creation of a new livestock development model in the country based on the growth potential of small producers that are more flexible and able to adopt climate resilient practices.
