Nearly 7,000 mobile apps have been removed from the Russian segment of the App Store

According to the analytical company Sensor Tower, 6,982 mobile applications have been removed from the Russian segment of the App Store since the start of the "special military operation" in Ukraine. That's up 105 percent from the first half of the month.
Experts estimate that the number of apps deleted from the Russian app store after February 24 has increased by 105% compared to the first two weeks of the month (Apple regularly removes obsolete and discarded apps from its store). According to Sensor Tower, apps removed from the App Store in Russia have been downloaded about 218 million times, which is more than 3% of the 6.6 billion global downloads. Many app developers have also removed their products from the Belarusian App Store: 5,900 apps have been removed since February 24, up 73% from the first half of the month.
Sensor Tower analysts attribute the increase in the number of remote applications to the suspension of operations or the withdrawal of foreign companies from the Russian market. For example, H&M and American Eagle Outfitters removed their app from the Russian App Store.
