Norov and Lavrov exchanged views on current political issues

On July 12 of this year, in Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

During the dialogue, issues of further strengthening of Uzbekistan-Russia strategic partnership relations were discussed.

It was noted that the parties are in favor of further intensifying constructive mutually beneficial political dialogue, economic diplomacy and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.

Particular attention was paid to the full implementation of the agreements reached at the high-level meetings. The parties exchanged views on current issues of world and regional politics.

An agreement was reached to continue cooperation within the UN, CIS, SCO and other international institutions.

Organizational and substantive aspects of upcoming events, including the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states to be held in Tashkent on July 28-29, 2022, were discussed.

Information was provided to the Russian side about the process of constitutional reforms and its priorities.
