Norov congratulated the Qatar side with the success of the World Cup

Today, December 27, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received Hasan Hamza Hashim, who was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the state of Qatar in our country. While the minister received copies of the credentials, he congratulated the ambassador on his entry into office and wished success to his responsible activities.

At the beginning of the dialogue, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan congratulated the Qatari side on the success of the world football championship. The current state of Uzbek-Qatar relations in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres and prospects for its development were discussed.

It was noted that Uzbekistan and Qatar have significant potential for further development of multifaceted bilateral cooperation. The parties noted the activation of bilateral political dialogue and expressed their support for a significant increase in cooperation in the trade, economic and investment spheres.

Proposals to strengthen inter-parliamentary dialogue were considered. Particular attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the cultural-humanitarian and tourism spheres. It was agreed to continue cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

The upcoming joint events of various levels were mentioned on the schedule. The meeting also exchanged views on some international and regional issues.
