Observers of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic Speaking States meeting with

On October 22, a meeting with observers of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking states was held at the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting touched upon the work carried out in preparation for the upcoming elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan this year, in particular, such issues as changes in the electoral legislation, financing of the election campaign, the use of modern information technologies in the electoral process, the activities of district election commissions for holding presidential elections, the creation of polling stations at diplomatic and other missions abroad.

It should be noted that at the suggestion of the Central Election Commission, 18 experts will be included in the mission monitoring the preparation and conduct of the presidential elections.

They, in turn, will visit the district and precinct election commissions of the Republic to collect and analyze materials on the course of electoral processes, conduct a legal examination of electoral legislation and assess the principles of openness and transparency of elections.
