Our people are justifiably proud of their children like you – true patrons of our homeland

The head of our state Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a festive greeting on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the day of fatherland defenders.
Respected soldiers and sergeants, officers and generals!
Servicemen and veterans of the Armed Forces!
Dear compatriots!
First of all, I sincerely congratulate you, the Saints, all our multinational people, who have devoted their lives to the glorious and noble work as the protection of our native land, on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and on the day of the Vatan defenders.
In this holy month, we deeply understand the value and importance of the high qualities inherent in our country, such as loyalty to our motherland, perseverance and courage, that they occupy an increasingly strong place in our lives, and we honor those of noble professions like you, who have proved this in practice with their combat activities.
At the same time, we pay deep respect to the light and indelible memory of our self-sacrificing servicemen who died bravely in fulfilling their combat duty.
In the period of independence, the Uzbek army took a very difficult and honorable path. We all know and appreciate the fact that during the years of the extreme formation of our young state, our Armed Forces have served as a reliable guarantee of the independence of our country, ensuring the peaceful life and well-being of our people, successful implementation of democratic reforms.
Thanks to the radical reforms carried out in the following years, in a historically short period of time, we will achieve the establishment of a fast and compact national army capable of reliably protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the inviolability of our borders.
"Our people are justifiably proud of their brave and brave children like you – the true guards of our homeland," the President said.
