A video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is being held on the issues of supporting the livestock sector, which is of grand magnitude in ensuring food security, and proliferating meat, milk and egg production through the widespread use of breakthrough technologies in the sector.

Factors such as the ongoing pandemic, climate change, and water shortages are driving up food prices around the world.

Meat, milk and eggs account for 30% of the population's daily consumption.
Therefore, an important sector of food security - support of the livestock sector, increasing the production of meat, milk and eggs through the prevalent use of resource-saving technologies - is becoming more urgent and priority”- the President said at the beginning of the meeting.
