Penalties on tax debts of entrepreneurs have been temporarily suspended

The presidential decree on measures to support businesses in reducing the negative impact of a severe temperature drop on the economy has been adopted.

According to the decree, entrepreneurs are allowed to repay tax arrears accrued as of February 1, as compared to January 1, 2023, in equal installments from March 1 to July 1, 2023, without charging interest, without imposing additional conditions, and without requiring collateral.

Interest on tax debts of entrepreneurs is suspended until 1 April 2023.

Until April 1, 2023, penalties for overdue foreign trade receivables will not be applied to business entities.

Entrepreneurs can also pay rent for the use of state assets in December 2022 and January-February 2023 in equal parts from March 1 to July 1, 2023.

Payments due in December 2022 and January 2023, including interest and penalties for non-payment of the initial payment, will be suspended until 1 April 2023.

In December 2022 and January 2023, fines and penalties for failing to fulfil the terms and conditions of public procurement contracts will not apply to businesses due to the extreme coldness of the air temperature.

Until 1 April 2023, the compulsory processing of court documents and documents from other authorities related to recovery in favour of the state will be suspended for entrepreneurs who encounter difficulties due to the cold spell.
