Pfizer expects profit growth

Pharmaceutical company Pfizer has raised its profit forecast for the current year, counting on massive production of the sought-after COVID-19 vaccine. Many countries are ready to sign an agreement with Pfizer, which intends to supply two billion doses of vaccines this year.

To date, Pfizer has shipped more than 65 million doses worldwide, almost half of which have gone to the United States. 200 million doses are expected to be delivered to the United States by the end of spring.

Vaccine supplies to Europe were slightly delayed due to a number of changes in the manufacturing process. However, the company promises to catch up on lost time soon.

Pfizer estimates that this year the vaccine, developed in conjunction with the German company BioNTech, will amount to about 12.5 billion euros this year.
