President acquainted with work of modern thermal power plant in Bukhara

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspects performance of thermal power plant commissioned by limited liability company Aksa Enerji Bukhara in Bukhara region.
Demand for energy resources grows with economic development and growth of the number of enterprises. Therefore, measures are being taken to increase power generation capacity in all regions.
In particular, in the past, Aksa Enerji Bukhara commissioned a thermal power plant. The plant was built through a direct investment of 150 million dollars. The equipment and appliances were imported from Turkiye. One hundred and fifty people were employed here.
The plant will have a capacity of 270 megawatts. It will be able to produce 2.200 million kilowatt hours of electricity, which will cover approximately 60% of the energy needs in the region.
The Head of State visited the dispatch centre of the power plant and talked to the managers.
Given that the annual power consumption in Bukhara in 2023 is expected to be 4.3 billion kilowatt-hours, and a possible deficit of 150 million kilowatt-hours, those in charge have been instructed to take measures to eliminate the shortage.
The President has given instructions to ensure a stable supply of electricity to the population and sectors of the economy, to increase the efficiency of energy use and reduce losses in the grid, and to attract high technologies to the industry.
