President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has arrived in Uzbekistan

On March 22, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Uzbekistan. At the Tashkent International Airport, he was met by Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.

On March 23, Minnikhanov is scheduled to hold talks with a number of Uzbek government officials. During his visit to the country, Minnikhanov laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Chirchik Chemical Industrial Technopark in cooperation with the Khimgrad Technopolis of Tatarstan.

By the decision of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Uzkimyosanoat JSC and Khimgrad Technopolis are establishing an industrial park in Chirchik, Tashkent region.

The Technopark attracts foreign and domestic investment to organize the production of high-value, marketable and import-substituting products. The lifespan of the technopark is 30 years with the possibility of further extension.

Separate tax, customs and currency procedures established for the SIZ apply on the territory of the Technopark.In this case, the tax benefits provided by the Tax Code and the Law "On Special Economic Zones", as well as benefits for customs duties are provided for a period of 10 years, regardless of the amount of investment made by participants, directors and management companies.

Guarantees of up to 50% of the amount of bank loans provided by the State Fund for Entrepreneurship Support to the participants of the Technopark in the framework of investment projects, including to replenish working capital, but not more than 8 billion soums, to cover interest expenses on loans for investment projects Compensation is provided for.
