President of Uzbekistan extends condolences to President of Tajikistan

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on February 16.

At the outset of the conversation, the head of our state expressed deep condolences to the leader of Tajikistan in connection with human casualties and considerable damage as a result of avalanches in the southeast of the country.

Bilateral and regional agenda issues were discussed.

Measures to implement agreements at the highest level, first of all in trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture, energy, transport and other areas were discussed.

The importance of establishing effective interaction in preventing and combating the consequences of emergency situations was noted.

The schedule of events, including contacts within multilateral organizations, was also discussed.
