President of Uzbekistan lays flowers at Ashgabat Memorial

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Halk hakydasy (National Remembrance) memorial complex in the city of Ashgabat.

The complex consists of three parts dedicated to the victims of the Geoktepe battle of 1880-1881, World War II and the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake. Behind the central monument there is a museum that tells the story of these tragic events.

The head of our state honored the memory of the deceased and laid flowers at the foot of the memorial. He then toured the exhibits in the museum and made an inscription in the Book of Honorary Guests.
