President of Uzbekistan met with the chairman of the National Council of Turkmenistan on people's advice

Within the framework of the official visit to Turkmenistan, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the chairman of the Upper House of Parliament of this country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The head of state noted that the large-scale socio-economic reforms initiated by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were a solid foundation for the establishment of a strong Turkmenistan.
"Today fraternal Turkmenistan is developing rapidly on the basis of preserving national unity and historical and cultural traditions. It has earned its high recognition all over the world," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was noted that Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov personally contributed to strengthening friendly relations between our brotherly countries and peoples, as well as bringing them to a deep level of strategic partnership.
It was noted with pleasure that Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan relations are a real example of Interstate Partnership free from unresolved issues.
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral, regional and international cooperation.
It was noted that the dialogue between our parliaments is the most important factor in the further rapprochement of our peoples.
"In order to monitor the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, we must use the potential of inter - parliamentary cooperation more effectively," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the end of the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a puppy of the alabai breed, which the Turkmen people especially appreciate.
