President of Uzbekistan takes part in informal CIS summit

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in an informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States on October 7 in St. Petersburg on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Also the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassim-Jomart Tokayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimukhamedov and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan took part in the summit.
Current issues in the context of preparations for the next meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council to be held next week in Astana were discussed.
They discussed important aspects of multilateral cooperation and regional interaction. Particular attention has been paid to the expansion of close partnership in trade and economic, investment, transport and communications spheres.
The working visit by our head of state finished, and the President returned to Tashkent.
