President Shavkat Mirziyoyev included in the list of The Muslim 500

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was included into "The Muslim 500" list.

The list of "The 500 most influential Muslims of the world" has been compiled since 2009. The list for 2023 also includes the late Usmankhan Alimov, former chairman of the Administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan.

The magazine gave the following rate to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev:

In 2021, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was elected to a second five-year term with 80.1 percent of the vote. After Islam Karimov (he led the state for 25 years until his death in office). President Shavkat Mirziyoyev introduced gradual reforms, including limiting the powers of the security services, encouraging foreign trade and investment, and granting greater political freedom. He has also established good relations with neighboring countries, such as the U.S., China and Russia. Shavkat Mirziyoyev served as Prime Minister from 2013 to 2016.
