President signs decree on next military service call-up

Under the decree, citizens not entitled to draft deferment and not entitled to exemption from call-up will be called up for military service in March-April 2023.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's decree on the regular call-up of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan for military service and the release of conscripts who have completed their term of service into the Armed Forces reserve has been adopted.

Citizens fit for military service who are not entitled to deferment and exemption from call-up but who have not been called up to the Armed Forces during that call-up period are included in the mobilization call-up reserve. Servicemen who have completed compulsory military service will be drafted into the reserve of the Armed Forces in March-April 2023.

The document stipulates that the ceremonial observance of citizens newly called up for military service in military units and the organization of the ceremonial reception of citizens discharged into the reserves at their place of residence will be carried out with the help of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the provincial and Tashkent city hokimiyats.
