President speaks to mahalla residents

The President visited the Ezgulik mahalla in Sergeli district of Tashkent and got acquainted with life of the population. The mahalla houses 26 apartment buildings with over 6 thousand residents.

The President talked to the residents of the mahalla. Representatives of the older generation noted that, thanks to the unity of the people and the employees of the state bodies, they had managed to overcome the difficulties of the cold days. Power engineers and public utilities worked round the clock and prompt measures were taken to eliminate emergency situations. In particular, a transformer in the mahalla was upgraded.

"This should be a lesson for us. We need to have 3-4 times more energy reserves. That is why we are paying attention to the development of renewable energy. This is a reliable and environmentally friendly alternative," the head of our state said.

It was noted that priority in the mahalla should be given to the employment of the population and the upbringing of the youth. For this reason, the current year has been declared the Year of People's Concern and High-Quality Education in our country. Conditions are being created to ensure that students graduate with two foreign languages and one profession. Our people support this initiative.

Representatives of the older generation recited dua, wishing peace and prosperity to our country and well-being to the people.
