President stresses importance of developing mutually beneficial cooperation with Iran

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian, who arrived in our country within the framework of meeting of the ECO Council of Foreign Ministers.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Foreign Minister conveyed to the head of our state the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Iran, Ibrohim Raisi.

It has been underscored that the agreements reached during Iranian President's official visit to Uzbekistan last September have laid a robust foundation for the advancement of multidimensional cooperation between the two nations.

The leader of Uzbekistan has noted with delight the intensification of contacts, the steadfast growth in mutual trade and the reinforcement of cooperation among leading enterprises.

Particular attention has been paid to the promotion of cooperation in transport and logistics, particularly to the effective use of Chabahar and Bandar Abbas ports.
