President visits newly commissioned industrial enterprises in Jizzakh

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev acquainted with the activities of enterprises in Jizzakh free economic zone. Some 27 projects have been carried out here, and some 5,300 jobs have been created. Its activity has expanded in recent years, and doing business here has become even more convenient. Companies now produce a wide range of industrial goods.
In October 2022, a confectionery factory Iruskon was opened in the zone. The head of state toured the technological process and production.
Confectionery products under the Deya brand are made here based on the experience of Russia, Turkey, Germany and Italy. Annual capacity is 12 thousand tonnes. About 100 people are employed. Additional equipment worth 5 million dollars will be brought from Germany and Turkey next year to implement the second stage. This will create 550 new jobs.
Another enterprise of the free economic zone is a limited liability company "Master Building Products". It produces 3 million pieces of pipes, fittings and building materials a year. About 600 jobs have been created. The head of the state toured the show-room of the enterprise.
The Uzbek-South Korean joint venture Global Optical Communication is capable of producing 85,000 kilometres of cable and wire products a year. The enterprise employs 115 people.
During his visit to the enterprises, the President suggested raising the level of localization, production of import-substituting and export-oriented goods. Presently, another 14 projects are underway in Jizzakh special economic zone, 5 of which will be put into operation this year.
