Prime Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov: the priority, dominantly, is to further strengthen good neighborly relations and strategic partnership with Central Asian countries

Yesterday, there was a roundtable discussion on "Foreign Policy of New Uzbekistan: Speed, Achievements and Prospects" with the participation of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries accredited in Tashkent and international organizations.

The sides exchanged views on conceptual issues of shaping the new image of Uzbekistan in the international arena, canvassed the current directions and main priorities of the country's foreign policy, as well as the results of extensive work in foreign policy of late.

In the discussion, Abdulaziz Kamilov gave a speech marking that 2021 was full of international relations in terms of political and diplomatic events in Uzbekistan. There was an exchange of high-level visits, and bilateral and multilateral dialogue with key foreign policy partners progressed rapidly.

It was noted that the main goal of the foreign policy strategy of the republic in the upcoming year focuses on ensuring the rapid and sustainable political, socio-economic, secular and democratic development of the country. The most important task is, first and foremost, to further ameliorate good neighborly relations and strategic partnership with the Central Asian states.

He also stressed the importance of developing a common approach to the world community in Afghanistan, while avoiding international isolation and a global crisis.
