Prospects for innovative development of Uzbekistan considered

On August 30, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of investments and foreign trade Jamshid Khodjaev visited the Ministry of innovative development and got acquainted with the results of the current activities of the ministry and plans for the implementation of the innovative development strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.
In particular, an exhibition of innovative developments, the results of scientific research and startup products was examined, after which the leadership of the ministry made a presentation on the results achieved and planned measures to implement the strategy.
The following figures were given: in total, 441 projects are planned to be implemented in 31 network sections, of which implementation work has begun on 215. 889.2 billion soums were allocated for the implementation of projects. The strategy developed the concept of innovative development for 28 districts of the country, which were defined as innovative, and courses were organized to improve the qualifications of heads of local authorities.
In 2022-2023, it is planned to implement 377 projects worth 217.8 billion soums for the introduction of new developments and technologies in 58 OMs of the country.
Also, ratings were developed and approved for the efficiency indicator (KPI) of deputy leaders for the introduction of innovations, ratings for the innovative activities of Network Enterprises and the universities, assessment of the activities of regions for the introduction of innovations.
