Prospects for the development of the country's export potential were discussed

On December 5 this year, under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Hodjaev in the format of Videoconference forum was held to discuss current activities to support entrepreneurs and exporters and the implementation of measures to make full use of export potential of the country.
The meeting was attended by heads of relevant ministries and agencies, industry associations, commercial banks and local authorities.
The results of the work to support producers and exporters were considered in terms of regions and industries. Analysis showed that during the period from January to December of this year the exports of goods and services worth $13 billion were exported. At the same time, the work of responsible managers in providing exporting companies with necessary loans to replenish the circulating assets, return of earlier paid sums of VAT, connection to utilities and uninterrupted supply of energy resources was not effective enough.
The reports of responsible managers assigned to specific enterprises on forthcoming measures within the framework of comprehensive support of exporters for the purpose of full activation of the available export potential of regions and branches of industry were heard in a critical manner. Specific tasks were set for daily monitoring, active interaction with entrepreneurs, and the provision of timely and comprehensive support to increase the volume of exports.
As a result of the meeting, the relevant leaders were given additional targeted instructions within the framework of the discussed issues with the assignment of control over their proper implementation to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
