PUBG is banned in India

The Indian version of the mobile game is called Battlegrounds Mobile India, the main version was banned in 2020. The game has already been removed from Google Play and App Store in the country.

Crafton, the developer of the game, confirmed that the game has been removed in India and demanded an explanation. After that, the shares of the South Korean company fell by 9 percent.

It is believed that the ban of Battlegrounds Mobile India is related to the transfer of data to Chinese servers, which may threaten the security of users. Crafton confirmed the fact of sending data to third-party servers, but said that everything was happening legally.

"Like other mobile games and applications, Battlegrounds Mobile India uses third-party solutions to provide unique gameplay features. In the process of using these solutions, some game data is transferred to third parties," said Crafton representative.
