Roskomnadzor has blocked access to Google News in Russia

Roskomnadzor has blocked the Google News aggregator in Russia. The agency said the service "provided access" to materials that contained "false socially relevant information about the conduct of a special military operation."

Since the end of February, Roskomnadzor has blocked a number of Russian and foreign media websites at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Western social networks have also been blocked in Russia, and the parent companies Facebook and Instagram Meta have been declared extremist by a court and banned in Russia.
