Round table «Multilateral international legal system as the guarantor of economic development and security of Uzbekistan and Latvia»

The round table, which took place at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on November 23, 2022, examined multilateral and legal international system as a guarantor of security and economic development of Uzbekistan and Latvia, with the participation of teachers and other experts, representatives of international organizations, the diplomatic corps and government agencies.
Media representatives also took part in the event.
At the beginning of the event the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodik Safoev said that the level of strategic partnership with Latvia and Uzbekistan and the roundtable will serve the exchange.
Safoev also noted the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Latvia since November 3, 1992. Then the floor was given to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Latvian Republic to Uzbekistan Reinis Troksha. His Excellency Mr. Trokša supported the views of S.Safoev and briefly spoke on the prospects of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Latvia in various spheres.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Director of the Latvian Institute of International Relations Kārlis Bukovskis, Head of the Department of World Economy at UWED Leila Tashpulatova, Lecturer of Riga Graduate School of Law, Member of the Latvian Parliament Ines Voyka and Deputy Director of the Institute of International Studies at UWED Akram Umarov. Speakers talked about the bilateral and legal international system, security and economic development of Uzbekistan and Latvia.
The meeting was attended by UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Matilda Dimovskaya and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Uzbekistan Charlotte Adrian.
