Serious objections were raised about shortcomings in the power system, backlogs in preparations for the season

A video conference call was held under the leadership of Presidential Chief of Staff Sardor Umurzakov on the conduct of the winter betalathon, at which the responsible persons were given additional tasks to eliminate deficiencies in the power system.
It is reported that during the meeting, the head of administration Sardor Umurzakov pointed out serious shortcomings in the work of the officials responsible for the winter season and raised serious objections about lag in preparation for the season, inability to promptly take measures to overcome the situation and general lethargy.
In order to promptly and systematically settle the problems related to a balanced supply of the population and sectors of the economy with energy resources, the Energy Ministry, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade have been instructed to set up round-the-clock headquarters.
The issue of supplying additional natural and liquefied gas, electricity and coal to the regions was also discussed separately with energy system officials.
Presidential advisers and deputy prime ministers have been assigned to each provincial governor to establish a system of day-to-day oversight of these issues.
