Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin discussed topical issues of cooperation

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation on November 30.
They discussed current issues of expanding multifaceted cooperation and strengthening the relations between Uzbekistan and Russia in terms of comprehensive strategic partnership.
The parties stressed with satisfaction the ongoing active contacts at various levels and the growing joint fruitful work on implementing agreements at the highest level.
The trade turnover has grown by more than 30 percent since the beginning of the year. A regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held last month. On December 1-2, Samarkand will host a meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of heads of governments of the two states, during which current and prospective projects of cooperation in priority sectors of the economy will be considered. A number of business events are also planned with the participation of representatives of leading industrial enterprises and companies of our countries.
Interregional cooperation is expanding. Productive outcomes of Uzbek-Russian Third Education Forum in humanitarian exchange have been noted.
In addition, the sides exchanged views on practical cooperation in multilateral format, including in Central Asia. The leaders have also discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
The telephone conversation between the presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia was held in a traditionally open, trusting and friendly atmosphere.
