Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Comprehensive reforms have been launched to shape a New Uzbekistan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has met with members of the Constitutional Commission to amend the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and implement organizational measures.

"Most importantly, over the last six years, whole society has been revitalized, and people are striving to think, work and live in a new way.

Today, we are well aware of the need to give new impetus and intensity to these processes of democratic renewal, to accentuate our reforms.

In recent years, our citizens have made many suggestions and comments on further advancement of the current Constitution.

In particular, during the presidential election last year, the issue of updating the Constitution in accordance with the requirements of modern life was raised by voters.

In order to fulfill the wishes and desires of our voters in this regard, the Constitutional Commission has been established by the chambers of the Oliy Majlis. In no time, remarkable work has been done to amend and supplement the Constitution," said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
