The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his "convincing victory" in Kazakhstan's early presidential election. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

"The head of Kazakhstan stressed that today the relations between the two countries are developing very dynamically and fully correspond to the level of strategic partnership," the message says.

Recall that the CEC of Kazakhstan is to announce preliminary election results at 11:00 a.m. Astana time (10:00 a.m. Tashkent time). According to a poll conducted by various organizations, Tokayev received more than 80% of the votes.

Voter turnout exceeded 69% in Kazakhstan, with the highest number of voters in Zhetysu Oblast, 81.4%, and the lowest in Almaty, 28.7%. And in Astana, 48.6% of voters cast their ballots.
