Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On February 11, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistanm, received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, who is paying a working visit to Uzbekistan.

The sides canvassed issues of further development and expansion of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov conveyed greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasyym-Jomart Tokayev to the Uzbek head of state.

At the summit in December previous year, the measures taken by the governments of the two countries to ensure the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were considered.

Special attention was paid to the issues of creating favorable conditions for boosting trade and balancing its indicators, accelerating the establishment of new industrial cooperation and logistics centers, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in water, energy and transport and communications, interregional dialogue and cultural exchange as well as the intensification of humanitarian exchange.
