Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Turkmenistan is our closest neighbour and reliable partner

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held negotiations in a narrow format.
The heads of state discussed issues of further deepening bilateral relations built on centuries-old bonds of friendship and good neighborliness between the brotherly nations.
The key topics of the talks have been issues relating to further expansion of cooperation in political, trade and economic, energy, transport and logistics, water, agricultural and other spheres.
It has been noted that a breakthrough has been achieved in all areas of practical cooperation in recent years. On the basis of the Road Map, the agreements reached in the course of the highest-level negotiations are being successfully implemented.
Regular contacts and effective exchanges between governments, ministries and agencies, as well as regions of the two countries are held.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Serdar Berdimuhamedov have expressed conviction that the current meeting will give a new powerful impetus to development of multifaceted Uzbek-Turkmen relations of strategic partnership.
Detailed exchange of views has also taken place on the international and regional agenda, including the issues of intensifying cooperation in Central Asia.
