Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Istanbul to participate in the next summit of the Turkic Council

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the next summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States in the Turkish city of Istanbul on November 11-12.

The agenda of the upcoming summit meeting includes issues of expanding multifaceted relations within the Council, primarily in the field of trade, investment, green economy, digital technologies, transport and communications, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchange. Issues of further improvement of the organization's activities will also be considered.

As a result of the summit, it is expected to adopt joint documents aimed at increasing the efficiency of interaction and deepening multilateral cooperation in priority areas.

The program of the visit of the head of our state also provides for a number of bilateral meetings in the city of Istanbul.

The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was established in 2009 in order to promote comprehensive relations between the member countries of this structure.

Currently, the members of the Council are Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Our country joined the organization in 2019. Hungary has observer status in the Turkic Council.
