Special quotas will be allocated for customs officers and their children to enter higher education

At the meeting, it was stressed that ensuring the honest work of customs officers and strengthening their social protection is the most pivotal issue in the fight against corruption.

In this regard:

Employees who have worked in one position for 3 years will be rotated within a month;

From March 1, all customs officers will be hired only on the basis of open and transparent competition;

Declaration of income and property of employees will be introduced in the customs system;

Depending on the performance of customs officers, an additional 50% increase will be provided to their salary. These rates are determined on the basis of specific indicators (KPIs);

Additional bonuses will be introduced for employees working in remote and difficult positions;

The amount of bonuses for a special title for customs officers will be boosted.

The meeting also identified measures to intensify the social protection of employees:

Service houses will be built for employees working at remote posts in Alat, Gulistan, Termez and other regions;

In 2022, 100 people in need of housing and at least as many employees each year will be provided with preferential mortgages;

Special quotas will be allocated for customs officers and their children to enter higher education.

Another issue is that today the share of women in customs is only 8%.

"If we want to introduce justice, honesty and order in the industry, we must create all the necessary conditions to attract women to the system", the head of state said.
