Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan meets with US Ambassador

Yesterday, January 9, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatullah Irgashev held negotiations with U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Jonathan David Henick.

The sides discussed the current situation in Afghanistan and the efforts undertaken by Uzbekistan and the US to tackle the crisis in Afghanistan.

It was noted that the new Afghan government needs to meet the basic requirements of the international community, especially the rights of women to work and education.
