State institutions will also move to New Tashkent

The current Tashkent occupies an area of 43,000 hectares. As part of the New Tashkent project, favorable conditions for living for 1 million residents will be created on an additional 20,000 hectares and appropriate infrastructure will be provided.

The area chosen for the implementation of this project is located at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level and is unique in its proximity to the city, its climate, high cost and location between two rivers.

In particular, at the first stage, multi-storey buildings for 60 thousand inhabitants, 30 schools, 20 kindergartens, a multidisciplinary hospital and 5 family clinics will be built.

It will also house the new University of Uzbekistan, the new buildings of the National Library, the theater, art schools, trade and service centers.

Gradually, state institutions will also move to the new Tashkent.

Hotels, service and trade facilities will open on the site of their current buildings, and Tashkent will become a modern center of tourism and business.
