State services on confirmation of force majeure are provided

An administrative regulation on the provision of public services for the confirmation of force majeure circumstances (force majeure) has been approved by a government decree. The decree establishes the procedure for providing public services on confirmation of force majeure circumstances which have started or which have occurred in Uzbekistan in accordance with the terms of foreign trade agreements, international financial or investment agreements and international treaties.

According to the decree, force majeure is confirmed by issuing a certificate in electronic form, which is certified by an electronic digital signature of an authorized person and is issued with a QR code.

A decision to issue or refuse to issue a certificate to an applicant shall be taken by an authorised body within 13 working days from the date of receipt of the certificate.

In order to obtain the certificate, the applicant shall submit the following documents:
- copies of the contract, supplementary agreement and their specifications;
- documents substantiating the extent of obligations performed under the contract.

It is expressly forbidden to require any other information and documents from the applicant other than these.

A fee in the amount of 90 per cent of the amount of the BCA (270 thousand soums) is charged for the issuance of the certificate.

The certificate is issued for an indefinite period of time.
