Taliban in Afghanistan receive US airstrikes

The Pentagon announced the use of aircraft and free riders to support Afghan government forces from the air against the Taliban.

"In recent days, strikes have been carried out with the help of technology, manned and unmanned aerial vehicles," - said a spokesman for the department, Major Robert Lodewick, who did not provide other details of these operations.

It is worth noting that the air force took off outside Afghanistan as the United States had already withdrawn its combat aircraft from this country.

Over the past month, the Taliban have been conducting offensive operations and have taken over vast, sparsely populated areas of the country. Major cities are still under government control.
