Tashkent Institute of architecture and construction is becoming an industry cluster

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the new building of the Tashkent architectural and Construction Institute on August 10.

The head of our state came here in October 2020, gave instructions on the creation of a construction cluster on the basis of the Institute. After that, the allocated area was expanded and a new project was developed.

First of all, two 5-storey Educational Corps, an 8-storey administrative building were erected for the Institute. A Research Center for building materials, Laboratories, a sports complex, a hostel were placed here. During today's visit, the head of State got acquainted with this creative work, the activities of the educational institution.

The institute has 4 faculties and 23 departments. Education in 22 specialties is provided in The Bachelor's degree and 25 in the master's degree. Based on the requirements of the times, such directions as the design of the infrastructure of “smart” houses and cities, labor protection and security techniques, earthquake-bearing structures are included in the program.

With the commissioning of new buildings, education coverage and quality will increase. For the 2022/2023 academic year, more than 1 thousand 600 quotas are allocated. With them, the total number of students will increase by 7 thousand 500 people.

The head of our state talked here with students, doctoral students and professors.

"We start by creating a school, training personnel first, whichever field we start to reform. This institute will also become the basis for future creative work," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
