Tesla has upgraded the Model S and Model X

The upgrade affects both the regular versions of the electric cars as well as the three-engine Plaid. Both models can again be ordered with a conventional round steering wheel instead of a steering wheel. Other updates include a new Ultra Red bodykit, a redesigned high-gloss panoramic roof and heat-resistant brake pads, which are available only on three-engine versions of the Plaid.

The Model S liftback has a new panoramic roof. It's lighter and lets in five times more light with the same level of UV protection.

As well as improving performance, the new roof has a positive effect on handling, as it lowers the centre of gravity. This is particularly useful for the three-engine version of Plaid, which is also promised new brake pads with high thermal resistance.
