The annual Hajj quota for citizens of Uzbekistan will be doubled

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation headed by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah.
The issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in organizing trips to the holy shrines of the Muslim world, including creating more comfortable and comfortable conditions for the stay of our citizens in Saudi Arabia were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs conveyed to the leader of our country the sincere greetings and best wishes of the employees of the Two Holy Mosques, the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister of the country Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.
It was emphasized that this visit of the Saudi delegation is a continuation of the high-level agreements reached during the historic state visit to Saudi Arabia in August this year.
During the conversation, an agreement was reached on doubling the annual Hajj quota for citizens of Uzbekistan to 24,000 people, and the Umrah quota to 100,000 people.
Also, to support the implementation of trade-economic and investment cooperation projects, to introduce best practices in the field of digitization, to increase the number of visits of Saudi tourists to Uzbekistan, taking into account the introduction of a visa-free procedure for the visit of Saudi tourists in our country, the two leading countries issues of establishing partnerships between research centers were also considered.
