The first games of the CIS countries starts in Kazan

The first Games of the CIS countries will be held from 4 to 11 September in Kazan. They will bring together athletes up to 23 years old from ten countries - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Russia - to identify the strongest in 16 sports.

About 1.5 thousand athletes will take part in the competition. The age category of athletes is from 14 to 23 years old. They will compete for 184 sets of awards. The Firebird will become the logo of the Games, and the leopard will become the official mascot.
