The head of our state and the Prime Minister of Hungary held a meeting in a narrow circle

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban held bilateral talks in the "Carmelita" palace in Budapest.

Issues of further expansion and strengthening of Uzbekistan-Hungary strategic partnership were discussed in the conversation.

The President of Uzbekistan thanked the friendly Hungarian leader for the warm reception and hospitality shown during the visit.

The head of our state noted with great satisfaction that the multifaceted strategic partnership between the two countries is rapidly developing and steadily strengthening. It was emphasized that the agreements reached at the end of Viktor Orbán's official visit to our country in March 2021 opened a new page in Uzbekistan-Hungary relations and raised bilateral cooperation to a higher level.

Dialogues at different levels have become more active, effective political dialogue and inter-parliamentary cooperation have been established, joint projects are being implemented in trade, economic and investment spheres, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding.

The leaders of the two countries also discussed current international and regional issues. Issues of cooperation within international structures, including the UN, OSCE, Organization of Turkic States, etc., were touched upon.

The Prime Minister of Hungary confirmed that he will participate in the first summit of the Organization of Turkic States to be held in Samarkand in November this year.
