The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and Bagdad Amreyev held a meeting in a narrow circle

Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto visited the secretariat of the Turkic Council in Istanbul on July 26, 2021 and held a bilateral meeting with Secretary General Bagdad Amreev.

The parties discussed the current obligations of the Organization to prepare for the 8th Summit of the Turkic Council, which will be held on November 12, 2021 in Istanbul, and the main issues on the agenda of the Summit.

B. Amreev and P. Szijjarto stressed the importance of the B2B Forum of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which will be held in Budapest on September 22-23, 2021.

The Minister also raised the idea of creating an Institute for Drought Prevention of the Turkic Council in order to identify and implement projects related to agriculture and the environment.

Peter Szijjarto mentioned the growing demand of students from the member states to study in Hungary and said that this year more than 5,000 applications were received from Turkic-speaking countries.
