The Netherlands abolishes social distancing

At the end of this month, the Netherlands will cancel mandatory social distancing. The reason for this was the fact that almost 80% of the country's citizens over the age of 12 are fully vaccinated.

The government will make it mandatory to present "green passports" for visiting public places and mass events.

"I am happy to announce that from September 25 we can abandon the mandatory one-and-a-half-meter distance. Of course, it would be reasonable to continue to observe such a restriction, one and a half meters remain a safe distance, but this measure will no longer be mandatory ", - Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands.
