The next Ministerial Meeting of the OTG Foreign Ministers will be held on November 10

A delegation led by Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov participated in the extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Istanbul on October 17, 2022. Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Hungary, Turkmenistan, as well as the secretary general of the OTS and the chairman of the Council of Elders also took part in the event.
At the meeting, which was held in a friendly and constructive spirit, views were exchanged on topical issues of the regional and international agenda and interaction within the Organization. At the summit of OTS, which is scheduled for November 11, 2022 in Samarkand, the draft documents to be submitted for signing were reviewed.
The head of the Uzbek delegation noted that the intensity of current events in the world and changes in international relations necessitate constant adaptation of the OTS to contemporary realities.
Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan briefed on the ongoing preparatory process for the Samarkand summit of the OTS. As noted, the upcoming event will be the first summit to be held after the transformation of the structure from the Turkic Council to the Organization of Turkic States in 2021.
At the end of the meeting it was decided to hold the next meeting of foreign ministers of the OTS member states on November 10, 2022 in the city of Samarkand.
