The Observer Mission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has begun its work

On October 19, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Z. Nizamkhodzhaev met with the head of the observation mission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Anisul Khak.

During the meeting, the members of the Mission were informed about the work carried out in the framework of the preparation and conduct of the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was noted that the election campaign is conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Electoral Code and democratic principles.

In his speech, the chairman of the Central Election Commission Zainiddin Nizamkhodjaev noted that the early voting process began in the country on October 14 and will last until the end of the day on October 20. It was also noted that the Central Election Commission has completed the process of accrediting international observers and media representatives, today the number of observers from foreign countries and international organizations participating in the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is about one thousand.

It is worth noting that the election observation mission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is headed by the director of the Department of International Relations of the General Secretariat of the OIC Anisul Haq.
